I was on my way to do some computer work for some folks yesterday and had to pass by a small beach known locally as Westhaver’s Beach here near Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada. We’re getting some very cold temperatures here (-10 to -15C plus windchill!) but the days have been crisp and clear. A storm is on the way at the end of the week, supposedly, so I took the opportunity to take some nice shots of my 2009 Hyundai Accent, ‘Humdrum’ as I passed by....complete with gratuitous Atlantic Ocean and Lighthouse in background!

My phone didn’t quite like the cold it didn’t focus perfectly, so the shots are a little blurry - but I am happy as I hopped out and took them quickly in the cold! It’s quite a scenic little stretch of road past the beach, so on such a clear day, I couldn’t help but stop and admire the view. :)

I’ll have a laugh at your definition of cold, but gods damn do the Maritimes get a boatload of snow. Looks like lovely weather.

Yup, much colder for you folks inland in terms of temps, but, depending, we can get shit-tons of snow! 0_o

No real snowfalls other than 3-4cm so far this winter though, but that could change on the 4th-5th...only Weather Statements up so far as they don’t know what the storms will do for sure yet, but there is a potential for 15-20cm of snow and a Blizzard Warning, so we shall see...

As long as some of these storms don’t happen again (this one was from March 2015)...

I was home for White Juan and remember Mom’s Buick leaping up once we finally got enough snow off that it could come back up to normal ride height.

You think that’s harsh, I once sent a postcard from somewhere near Lethbridge — it still went by mail!

(Sorry, about 80% of what I know about Canada comes from two bands, BNL and Rush, lol)
